About Garth Park Kitchen

Garth Park Kitchen is the vision of chef-owner Tom Cox, bringing together years of experience in some of London's most respected restaurants with a passion for relaxed, seasonal dining here in Oxfordshire.
Tom's hospitality career began locally at The Muddy Duck, where he developed a love of cooking that was approachable yet full of character, alongside a lasting passion for championing local farmers and producers. He later moved to London to work under Fred Sirieix at Galvin at Windows, where meticulous attention to detail and exceptional hospitality became second nature. From there, he joined the Gladwin Brothers at The Shed in Notting Hill, strengthening his belief that the very best food begins with exceptional ingredients and close relationships with the people who produce them, before spending several years helping to run Blacklock's restaurants in the City and Covent Garden.
Returning to Oxfordshire to start a family, Tom saw the opportunity to create something that reflected everything he'd learnt along the way. Garth Park Kitchen is built on the belief that simple food should never be boring. By combining carefully sourced local ingredients with thoughtful cooking, every dish is designed to be generous, familiar and full of flavour.
That philosophy extends beyond the kitchen. Our coffee comes from Goose & Badger Coffee in Dorset, founded by old friends from Tom's time at The Shed. Much of our meat comes from Boarstall Meats, whose Belted Galloway cattle and Brill Hill lamb regularly feature on our menus, while our fruit and vegetables are supplied by DBF Fruits, working closely with outstanding local growers including Rectory Farm and Wykham Park Farm. These relationships allow us to cook with the seasons and support producers whose values mirror our own.
Whether you're joining us for breakfast, lunch or our award-winning Sunday roast, our aim is simple: to serve honest food, warm hospitality and create a place where people feel welcome to return time and time again.
